Conner & Anna - Lincoln, NE

Anna is a midwest American sweetheart from Nebraska and Conner is a PNW raised family man from Oregon. Their meeting and falling in love was quite serendipitous. Conner is a professional golfer and Anna was working the bar cart at a golf course when the two of them stumbled upon each other at Hole 5 of Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. Truly fitting!

The weird thing is that Conner is from my neck of the woods, and I didn’t even know him. I met Anna in Colorado while we were both volunteering for a nonprofit that serves communities in Honduras. Upon meeting, she’s like “Oh, I’ve been to Oregon! My boyfriend and his family are from there.” Small world. Fast forward a few years later and I was shooting their engagement session in Oregon and then I was fortunate enough to capture their wedding day in Nebraska nearly a year after that. I adore these two. They have a strong bond, fierce loyalty, and a Christ-centered relationship (now marriage) that is so beautiful.

Anna and Conner were wedded in their home church, by their Pastor and dear friend. It was a beautiful ceremony, followed by a joyous celebration. I say this over and over, but I am so lucky to have clients whose families’ make ME feel like family and this wedding was absolutely no exception.

Anna and Conner, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your wedding day. It’s an honor to capture such an important piece of your love story, and even more of an honor to call you two friends! So happy for you guys and can’t wait to see you again.

Adam & Hannah - Clearwater, FL

RPImagery-1476.jpg

I met Hannah and Adam on a Norwegian Cruise to the Bahamas in 2019. I was thrilled when they asked me to join them in Florida and capture their wedding day this February!

Their wedding took place at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, Florida. We began the morning with the girls sipping champagne and getting ready in an upper hotel room overlooking the ocean while the guys relaxed poolside. I ADORED all of Hannah and Adam’s friends in their bridal party, they are all so kind, laid back, and so funny. I had a great time getting to know all of them!

Their first look was the sweetest. I love how Adam looks at Hannah like she is the best thing that has ever happened to him. They make the cutest couple! They shared their vows together in an intimate moment between just the two of them and then they said their “I do’s” down on the beach, amongst their family and friends.

These people know how to party. The celebration went well into the night and was filled with drinks, dancing, sunset smooching, booty shaking, limbo, jokes, cigars, laughter, and love. It was a night to remember.

Hannah and Adam, you guys are so loved. I loved meeting all of your friends and family and seeing just how special you two are to everyone around you. It’s no wonder we met on that cruise 2 years ago, you both are so outgoing, adventurous, kind, compassionate, and loving, and I’m fortunate to call you friends. Here’s to you Mr. and Mrs. DeSantis!

Brooklyn & Brandon - Hurricane Ridge

RPImagery-0606.jpg

Brooklyn & Brandon adventured into the Olympic National Park with me for their engagement shoot. I don’t know which was prettier: the views or the two of them!! Equally stunning.

We were blessed with a beautiful day and had a blast sight seeing the beautiful PNW and capturing their love. These two get married in July and I can’t wait to capture and celebrate their wedding day!

Will & Cydney - Hood River, OR

THEY ARE GOOFY, KIND, COMPASSIONATE, STRONG, LOYAL, FAITHFUL BEAUTIFUL, AND FULL OF JOY.
THEY LOVE JESUS.

THEY REFLECT EACH OTHER’S BRIGHT LIGHT.

THEIR LOVE GLORIFIES GOD IN A WAY THAT INSPIRES US ALL.

This whole wedding weekend had me emotional. From their baptism together, to sweet words said at their rehearsal dinner, to God’s fingerprints all over their wedding day…. it was a weekend to remember, and I was so honored to be a part of it all. I’ve been able to witness their journey first-hand for so many years, so it was extra special to be able to capture their wedding day. Rather than trying to explain how beautiful this couple is not only on the outside, but also on the inside, I suggest just clicking PLAY on the video and seeing for yourself. Cue laughter, tears, and all the feels.

I thought it was so powerful that they chose to get baptized together the day before their wedding. Cydney’s brother, Andrew, baptized them as their family watched. Here are a couple snapshots I grabbed while filming this special morning:

And a few photos from their rehearsal evening, just because:

Disclaimer: I was NOT their photographer, but just grabbed a few of those photos while I was filming their wedding weekend. Vanessa Gray did a spectacular job photographing their wedding day: SEE HERE

Scott & Haley - Indianapolis, IN

Nicole6373.jpg

Haley and Scotty wed on the most beautiful fall day in Indianapolis, Indiana.

They began the morning by each getting ready in family homes within walking distance of their catholic church. Haley in her childhood home, Scotty in his. Just to give you a little insight into this couple’s sweet relationship, Scotty had the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered to his bride while she was getting ready with her girls. It was so thoughtful.

Scotty walked the same “walk” to his wedding day with his groomsmen as he walked as a child every Sunday morning to mass. The couple held hands as they read sweet letters to each other before the ceremony.

I believe they broke the wedding record of amount of flower girls and ring bearers. The whole day was a true family affair! After the mass, their large (and in charge) bridal party hopped onto the party bus and everyone clinked White Claws and got down to 90s jams. This was only a taste into how the rest of the evening would go down…

The Millers entered their party complete with Millers Lites in hand and sunglasses on as they walked into the sea of waving napkins and hollering. After toasts and first dances, Rod Tuffcurls & The Benchpress band really got the party going and everyone up and dancing the rest of the evening.

It was a night to remember.

Haley and Scotty, thank you for choosing me to completely capture the most marvelous day! It’s been a pleasure to get to know you, your families, and friends over the course of the year. I adore you two and am excited to see where the next chapter of your lives, as husband and wife, takes you! Here’s to the Millers.

Paul & Maggie - Cannon Beach, OR

RPImagery-0625.jpg

Paul and Maggie hosted a beautiful wedding weekend in Cannon Beach, OR in October with their close friends and family. These two have been together for so many years, have traveled several countries together, and have already done so much life together, that this formality of a marriage ceremony was wildly overdue and finally happening! And no batter place than the Oregon Coast to make that happen.

While we rehearsed the ceremony on the beach, the evening before, in the wind and rain, the clouds opened up the next day and it was a beautiful, blue sky, Oregon Coast day for their wedding! The boys started off by spending the morning down on the beach, playing games, grilling, and drinking beer, while the ladies were up in the cabin sipping mimosas. It was a very relaxing morning.

Jaws were in the sand as Maggie walked through the beach grass towards Paul at the ceremony. They had a simply beautiful setup for their ceremony, and they said beautiful vows to each other as onlookers walked by on the beach. Afterwards, we danced, toasted, and celebrated Paul and Maggie at the McMenamins Gearhart hotel. It was such a lovely evening!

Paul and Maggie, thank you for including me in such a special weekend. All of the events of the entire weekend were so memorable, and I was honored to be a part of it all. The amount of joy that you two exude as a couple is contagious, and you love each other and others so well. I admire your love and am grateful that I had the opportunity to capture this chapter of your story. xox

Miles & Angie - Grand Lake, CO

RPimagery-4912.jpg

A Santa Barbara Wedding turned Colorado Elopement

PRO TIP for those getting married: Wake up the morning after your wedding, throw your wedding dress back on, pop champagne and frolick around a National Park with your new hubby. What better way to start your marriage? You’re welcome.
— Me

“To sum up all of my love I have for you in one paragraph is impossible.” -Miles

I could say the same for this wedding day.

To sum up all of the joy I witnessed, all of the love I felt, and all of the intimate moments of this day feels merely impossible, but I’ll do my best.

Angie and Miles were set to be wed amongst 100+ of their friends and family in Santa Barbara, CA, Angie’s home state. Along with every engaged couple in 2020, they experienced so many ups and downs and rescheduling and canceling and rescheduling their big day. I spoke to Angie on the phone several times throughout this process, and it was depleting to hear the sadness in her voice every time, especially when they ultimately decided to throw in the towel. A few weeks later, I was happy to hear a glimpse of hope in her voice when she called and said, “Scratch that! We’re doing it! A completely different way, but we’re doing it. We’re getting married!”

I believe their wedding day was totally orchestrated by God and happened exactly the way it was supposed to. Grand Lake, Colorado could not have been a more special place to make this happen.

Arriving into the quaint and cute little town mid September, the air was brisk and you could just smell FALL. The hills were blanketed with yellow and orange glow and the leaves were just beginning to fall. We had a lovely and intimate evening, the night before the wedding, on the deck of the one of the cabins. I loved getting to be a part of such a special night, and thank you to Miles and Angie’s families for making ME feel like family. Waking up the next morning, it’s as if Fall was like “Okay , it’s time to step it up and show off for the big day!” I swear the yellow and orange leaves turned even brighter on the day of their wedding!!! The entire little town of Grand Lake was STUNNING.

Miles and his boys began the day by golfing while Angie had breakfast with her parents and then went on a hike with her best friend, Chelsea. The children all played and picked leaves in preparation to throw down at the ceremony prelude. Angie’s family has a cabin in Grand Lake that has been in the family for years. I loved learning about their history of this special place. It seemed only fitting that she got ready for her wedding day in a place with so many childhood memories. (Side-note: Miles also proposed to Angie in Grand Lake - can this place get any more sentimental, seriously?!) Angie spent the morning listening to worship music as she wrote her vows, reading sweet notes from her friends that couldn’t be there, and dancing to 90s jams with her dog as she got ready. I hope my wedding day someday starts off just like Angie’s.

Nothing could take away her beaming smile or the peace in her heart all morning. Angie, you exude so much joy in general and you are just such a special human. While always in awe of your beauty, I also discovered so much of your inner beauty on your wedding day :) You are full of love and laughter, you are a goofball, full of grace, and you are armed with strength. You are a light.

Miles is one of those men that when he speaks, you listen. He is so gentle, kind, and full of wisdom. And he LOVES Angie. Probably one of my favorite groom reactions was when he watched Angie walk down the aisle of Aspens towards him at their intimate ceremony. He had the sweetest vows prepared for Angie (see video for a little preview!) and it’s just so plain and simple how much these two really cherish each other.

Included in the wedding weekend was just their immediate family members, and it was easy to see why Angie and Miles are such wonderful human beings after getting to know the tribes in which they come from!

It was such a beautiful day and joyous weekend.

Alright, obviously their wedding day was so perfect, and I could go on and on, but let’s be honest - you came here to drool over how beautiful these two are, not to read through my “paragraph” turned novel.

One of my personal favorite memories from the whole weekend in Grand Lake was being the first person to get to hang out with Angie and Miles the day after their wedding, and we even saw a moose! Please don’t miss my personal favorite photos of Angie and Miles and SCROLL ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM TO SEE HOW MUCH FUN WE HAD IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK AT 8AM.
And yes… Angie woke up like that.

Angie and Miles, I love you guys. Thank you for including me in all of the intimacy that encompassed your entire wedding weekend. Thank you for opening your hearts, sharing your families, and letting me in one of the greatest love stories ever! Judging by 2020, you guys are clearly unstoppable, and I can’t wait to see where this crazy ride of life takes the rest of your love story. xoxo.

Baby Rory

RPimagery-0440.jpg

I usually just blog weddings or engagement sessions, but lately I’ve been reflecting on how blessed I am with this job. What other job in the world allows you into the most intimate parts of people’s lives, and not just one moment, but every milestone in their life? I’m so thankful for this job. From engagement photos, to wedding photos, maternity photos, and newborn photos - I am forever thankful for clients like Ricki and Nolan who include me in (and trust me with) the best moments of their lives. I had to share a mix of photos I’ve taken of them over the last 2.5 years because they are my most giggly and joyful clients ever! I was on my way to their house the other day, driving to meet Rory and do the newborn shoot, thinking to myself “there’s no way they are as giggly and full of life right now as they were for engagement, wedding, and maternity photos….” being new parents and getting no sleep at all, I figured. Silly me. These two are always full of life, making each other laugh, and making me smile. Nothing has changed, even though they are running on minimal sleep these days.

Ricki, Nolan, and Rory - I have so much love for you guys!

I, by no means, claim to be a “newborn photographer” because those photogs are beyond talented and know way more about what they’re doing than I do with tiny humans. However, I can’t pass up an opportunity to capture real life moments and milestones for my beloved clients!

So, enjoy a few more photos of sweet little Rory…

Matthew & Natalie - Indianapolis, IN

RPImagery-7512.jpg

Matthew and Natalie had a beautiful, traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. I loved how the Priest based his homily on the word: JOY.

J for Jesus, O for Others, and Y for You.

It’s so fitting because Matthew and Natalie so evidently put JESUS at the center of the relationship and at the forefront of their lives, they put OTHERS first and are compassionate and giving, and they just became a “YOU” as they joined their two lives into one. “Joy” was also a perfect word to describe the whole day. Matthew and Natalie are some of the sweetest, most joyful people, and it was no surprise that everyone that they are surrounded by are just as joyful and wonderful!

We had way too much fun on the party bus with the bridal party (see pics for clarification!), and their reception was an absolute riot, as well. The party was hosted at the beautiful Scottish Rite Cathedral and was beautifully designed with extraordinary class and simple elegance.

The evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, sentimental dances, lots of laughter and joy, and epic dance moves that resulted in ripped pants. It was an unforgettable evening celebrating these two.

Matt & Nat - thank you so much for choosing me to capture this joyful celebration! Your wedding day filled my own heart with so much joy and I cherish the memories made with you and your families. You two are a light in this world, and I know the love you share will impact so many others for generations to come!
”May the world forever be a better place because the two of you fell in love.”

Kevin & Caitlin - Dundee, OR

It’s difficult for me to put into words how special this wedding was. As Kevin’s stepfather said, plans were made and unmade, changed, canceled, and made again for this wedding. However, as Caitlin’s grandmother so eloquently stated, “God is looking down on this, Caitlin’s mom is looking down on this, and it is the right time and the right place.” Truly, I have never witnessed the extent of intimacy at a wedding that encompassed this whole day.

As many 2020 engaged couples experienced, the ability to safely hold a wedding at a regular venue became impossible. So, Caitlin and Kevin were able to rent out an airbnb (graciously by the hosts!), in the middle of a vineyard in the Dundee Hills, and they wed amongst their close family. Literally just parents, siblings, and grandma :)

I have so much admiration for these two. Caitlin is this fierce warrior disguised in this “tiny little package”, and she embodies so much strength, resistance, grace, and humility. Kevin is this gentle giant who is incredibly kind, sincere, well spoken, intentional, and hardworking. Together, these two are unstoppable.

I think their story is beautiful. Kevin came into Caitlin’s life shortly after the loss of her mother, who was her best friend. You’ll have to watch the video to hear more of their story, because honestly (it’s so beautiful!! but) it’s not my story to tell. I did try to “tell their story” in this film by highlighting several of the moments to tribute Caitlin’s mom, Deb. Never have I ever felt such a presence by somebody I didn’t even know, but Deb was there that day in so many ways. Steve, Stevie, and Caitlin, I’m so sorry for your loss. Deb truly left a beautiful legacy that so vividly lives on, and as Kevin’s mom said… Caitlin, “her love lives on through YOU.”

Imagine instead of standing up in front of a 100+ people at a wedding reception in a barn, giving a toast, you are instead: at a beautiful candlelit table, up in the hills, overlooking the twinkling lights of the city, drinking fine wine with just a special group of 10 or so people, and then giving that toast, saying the words you wrote, but looking that person dead in the eye as you say it. I don't know how else to describe it, I think you had to be there, but it gives me chills thinking about it. There’s something about speaking words from the heart, with an intimate group, that is so special. Honestly, if I ever get married, I’m doing it Caitlin & Kevin style, pandemic or not!

I could go on and on about this special day but at this point, I’ll let the film speak for itself.

Caitlin and Kevin, I see and capture a lot of weddings, but your wedding moved me in a way like no other. I know it wasn’t the day you originally imagined, but I honestly think it was better. Thank you for including me in (and choosing me to capture!) such a special, special day. I adore you guys!

Spencer & Bridget - Bellingham, WA

RPImagery-9156.jpg

An elegant and intimate wedding ceremony at Lairmor Manor.

Spencer and Bridget wed on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Bellingham, WA on the grounds of a stunning Renaissance style estate. They shared sweet vows with each other and had everyone amongst their small group of family and close friends in tears. Seeing as how Spencer couldn’t stop staring at Bridget, it’s safe to say we can all agree that Bridget was an absolute GODESS on her wedding day. She is a radiant example of simple elegance, but I think it’s her inner beauty that makes her glow. She embodies gentle kindness, quiet strength, and pure grace. I have so much admiration for this beautiful bride!

I also have so much admiration for the love that these two share. Bridget adores Spencer, and Spencer cherishes Bridget. They share such a sweet love. I soaked up every bit of time photographing them in their element on their wedding day, and honestly, these are some of my favorite images of a bride and groom that I have ever captured. They seemingly made each “pose” their own and had a rawness to them that was truly captivating to me, as a photographer. S & B - thank you guys for trusting me enough to be your true, authentic selves in front of my camera. YOU GUYS ARE BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER.

Let’s not forget to mention how wonderful both of their families are, as well. Serious “Little Women” vibes going on throughout the day as I got to know Bridget’s bridesmaids, all of whom are her sisters! While all beautiful and elegant, they all are also spunky, quirky, sweet, and all so different… goodness, I adore them all and had so much fun with the whole group. The groomsmen were all lively yet respectful, and full of charismatic and energetic nature as well. THANK YOU BRIDAL PARTY FOR EMBRACING ME LIKE FAMILY!

The celebration continued back at Spencer’s parent’s backyard, complete with ravishing toasts, epic dance moves, and a taco truck. It was a perfect day.

Spencer and Bridget, I am truly honored that you chose me to capture your wedding day. During a year of so much uncertainty and all of the unknowns… you guys reminded us all of one thing that always remains known - love.

Bradley & Brandi - Addison, VT

RPImagery-2501.jpg

Brad and Brandi got married on a beautiful summer day in Addison, Vermont surrounded by their loved ones.

This was the perfect country wedding, in the middle of an open field, ceremony setup complete with hay bales. I loved spending the morning getting ready with the girls, Brandi’s friends and sisters are all so friendly and funny. Brandi is so loved by them! One of my favorite parts of the wedding was when Brandi’s sister “iced” the couple at the end of her toast, and then surprised all of the guests by icing them, too. Everyone gathered to the middle of the dance floor and chugged in unison to get the party started. Truly, that was only the beginning of the party. Golden hour was a hit with everyone, as everyone gathered out in the field to capture the beautiful sunset. And what golden hour at a country wedding would be complete without a tractor? It was a hit with the kids! The whole day was a family friendly affair, but boy was it a party! It felt like we were the only ones in the world in that big open field, dancing and celebrating under the stars all night. I had such a blast capturing and dancing along with them!

People in Vermont are so kind. I was surrounded by the sweetest human beings my entire stay, and everyone made me feel like family all weekend. Bradly and Brandi, thank you for including me in such a fun day! I love the fact that you guys are best friends, you constantly make each other laugh, and you bring out the best in each other. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Tony & Tamara - WASHOUGAL, WA

RPImagery-3262.jpg

^^^^ LOOK at this beautiful family! ^^^^

Tony and Tamara have a wonderful love story that created such a beautiful blended family, don’t you think?

When the two of them started dating over 10 years ago, all of their six children combined were under the age of 9! Talk about signing yourself up for a challenge… Tony and Tamara not only accepted the challenge, but they gracefully let their love take the lead and it’s very evident today by the special bond that all 8 of them share. T & T are both so passionate about their children and football. In fact, they met when Tamara was president of a youth football program, and Tony was a coach in the program, whom (according to Tami) constantly challenged rules, complained about refs, players he wanted on the roster, etc. etc. While Tami was busy being annoyed and constantly sending his calls straight to voicemail, she had no idea he was actually in hot pursuit of her heart! While quite comical, I also think it’s so fitting that their passion for kids and football brought them together.

They hosted a beautiful wedding celebration at their home this year. It was sweet to see how these two’s love story has inspired so many of their friends, family, and community. Tony and Tamara are so loved!

T & T, thank you so much for choosing me to capture this AMAZING day that was a long time coming. I adore you guys and love your family to pieces!

Cassie & Drew - Spirit Lake, ID

Drew and Cassie were supposed to be getting married today, August 22nd, 2020. However, like many 2020 engaged couples, they made the difficult, yet responsible and selfless, decision to postpone their wedding to 2021.

The COVID pandemic may have altered some significant plans, but it could not stop us, their best friends, from celebrating the two of them. August 9th, 2020 is now a forever special day in our book.

So, for a little back story…

Drew’s family owns an island. A quaint, beautiful island in Spirit Lake, Idaho.

RPImagery-2063.jpg

The island has so much history. There are several photo albums and stories dating back to 1910, when these adorable cabins were built on the island. For the last 50 years, Drew’s family has kept the island very exclusive and only invited small groups of relatives and extended family… until 2020. This was the first “Friend Island Trip” where Drew and Cassie generously shared their little piece of heaven and invited their close group of friends to come experience the magic.

Just like any annual friend trip (this is going to be annual, right Cass and Drew?), each couple was assigned one night of the week to be on dinner duty. While said couple takes over the kitchen on their designated night, everyone else enjoys cocktails and a charcuterie board down on the dock. Hannah, of course, had the creative and genius idea to throw a little wedding celebration for our island hosts on her dinner night. Cass and Drew were minding their own business playing corn-hole, boating, and enjoying happy hour on the dock, and were completely clueless as to what was being orchestrated up at the cabin. Hannah and Derek were crafting up a gourmet meal in the kitchen and on the grill, Johnna was making the cake and decorating, and the rest of us were keeping Drew and Cass distracted with casual island life. Hannah had menus designed, custom place settings, photos printed, the whole shebang! She had put so much thought into this. I was honestly tearing up as they were setting the table and lighting the candles before showtime, it was such a special setting, and I knew how special this place in general was to Drew, Cassie, and their family.

The look on Cassie and Drew’s face was priceless. Here they were, hosting 10 of us on Friend Island for a week, and had no idea they were going to have a small, intimate wedding celebration, too! The entire evening was one I will never ever forget. I’ll let the video speak for itself. Below are the minimal photos I snapped of the “ramblence of a wedding day” but I really focused most on the video, as I wanted them to be able to re-live this magical evening for the rest of their lives. BEST WEDDING EVER!!! “The wedding that could never ever be repeated".”

Cass and Drew, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

(PSA: Everyone was COVID-tested upon arriving to the island)

Anna & Conner

RPImagery-4816.jpg

I met Anna a few years ago in Honduras on a service trip with Humanity and Hope, and I remember hearing about this sweet boyfriend of hers (a professional golfer) whom she met on the course, when she was a beverage cart girl.

Anna is a Nebraska girl, and Conner grew up here in Portland. I love seeing Anna’s eyes light up at all of the beauty that the Pacific Northwest encompasses. I am so excited to capture their 2021 wedding day in Nebraska, but I’m also LOVING the fact that we got to do an engagement session in Oregon. Perfect for the two of them. Meeting Conner for the first time, and seeing the way my friend, Anna, looks at him - I really appreciate the way he looks back at her :) The respect and kindness these two show each other make them such a strong couple, and the chemistry and goofiness they share keeps their relationship fun. Anna and Conner, I adore you guys and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your love story!

Patrick & Stephanie - Portland, OR

RPImagery-8581.jpg

Patrick and Stephanie contacted me 2 short months before their wedding about photos/video. First of all, I LOVE a backyard wedding! There’s always something extra intimate and romantic about it. Secondly, I was inspired by how these two were making lemonade out of lemons when COVID destroyed all of their destination weddings plans in Hawaii. While they didn’t get to bring their loved ones to a tropical island, they brought the tropical island to their backyard in Portland, Oregon.

I think Steph and Patrick could attest, this was actually how it was meant to be. Their wedding day was PERFECT! It started with the good luck charm of rain drizzle, but ended with Kaulu pig, reggae music, and a sunset. Just like Hawaii. Twenty of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate them, and it was a party! From the intimate ceremony and sharing of vows, to the entertaining toasts, to ending the night with good ole’ fashion karaoke - this “COVID'-19” wedding was one for the books!

While large weddings are fun, I’m not going to lie, I’m looking forward to this new trend of small, intimate celebrations. Stephanie and Patrick, thank you for including me in such an incredibly special day. I adore you guys and am excited to see what life has in store for you two!

Dylan surprised Mallory with a little photoshoot for her birthday. How sweet is that? They’ve been together for about 6 years but they still look at each other like they just fell in love yesterday. They have so much fun together and they are the epitome of “lovers and friends.” They are best friends!

Dylan and Mallory, your energy is contagious. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to frolic around our beautiful PNW, skip through fields, climb fences, and appreciate life with you guys. Your kindness, gratitude, and zest for life does not go unnoticed. Thank you for letting me capture your sweet love.

Justin & Khaki - Indianapolis, IN

Where do I possibly begin with Justin and Khaki’s wedding day?! I think most of us who were there would agree that it was the most highly anticipated and most unforgettable day ever.

Justin and Khaki were best friends in middle school, dated in high school, went separate ways for a bit, and then found their way back to each other after college. They are one of those love stories that are bound for ultimate success because of the deep rooted friendship that they started so many years ago.

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the both of them over the last 2 years, and have gotten to witness first hand the type of love they share. It’s fun, flirty, easy, sincere, and sweet. These two are truly best friends.

Their wedding day was perfectly them! They exchanged thoughtful gifts to each other prior to the ceremony and before seeing each other, and Justin gleamed and teared up at the same time, as he saw Khaki for the first time on their wedding day walk down the aisle to him. After their traditional Catholic ceremony, the Priest reminded us that “now it’s time to celebrate, God loves a good celebration” and celebrate we did. Their bridal party was filled with all of their siblings (Khaki’s 5 sisters and Justin’s 3 brothers), and their closest friends - which was the most wild and entertaining combination of people. We trolleyed around, drank champagne, played finger pull, took some photos, and engaged in epic dance moves on the trolley while all of their guests gathered at the Historic Union station, downtown Indianapolis.

The real party began when the new Mr. and Mrs. entered the reception with the most memorable entrance of all time, as all of their family and friends jumped up and down and cheered. It was a riot, and probably my favorite part of the whole day. The sweetest words were shared by their loved ones. I loved hearing Khaki’s dad talk about his admiration of Justin, Khaki’s sister and Justin’s brother both talk about the relationship that began when they were just kids, and so many other stories and words of wisdom for marriage. The night continued with overflowing drinks, a wild live band, Justin’s dance moves were out of this world, and everyone partied late into the night, celebrating this new milestone for Justin and Khaki. It was an unforgettable day, to say the least.

I dug up a couple of old photos of these two just because I think it’s so incredible that this love story started so long ago for them… how cute are they?!

Justin and Khaki, I admire you guys in so many ways, so it was an absolute honor to capture your love story and wedding day. Thank you for inspiring us all with your love - one that is rooted in friendship, grounded with compassion and understanding, and enriched with flirtation and fun. I love your love! I am so excited to see where this life takes you together, you guys are unstoppable.
