Austin & Nadia || The Royal Wedding

On a day which scarcely could have been better…
there was a royal wedding happening…

But even better than that,

AUSTIN AND NADIA’S WEDDING WAS HAPPENING!

And what an epic day it was. On a sunny day in May, Nadia began getting ready with all her besties for the greatest day of her life. Austin and his groomsmen showed up a bit later, to have some guy time before the big day enfolded. I loved getting to chat with each of them individually before they saw each other that day, and I love how I could feel the passion they have for each other just talking about one another. The giddiness was in full effect up until the moment of their first look when you could physically see the deep love between these two shine! They truly light up around each other.

Their wedding was filled with all sorts of shiny things: balloons, Nadia’s gifts to her ladies, shimmery dresses, and nadia’s RING (that baby is to die for), but my favorite shining thing was both of their faces the entire day. They were surrounded by so much love (their friends and family are all so amazing!), and I loved seeing Austin and Nadia soak up each tiny moment as if to try to hold onto it forever.

Their party was a blast! Cocktails flowing, dance floor raging, donut truck pulling up to fulfill all of the sweet tooth needs, amazing food, and emotional, sentimental speeches were shared. I’ll never forget this wedding because it truly was everything I hope my wedding is one day. I don’t think there was a single moment of the day where my face didn’t hurt from smiling so much. I love these two and I love their love. I am inspired by the way they truly treasure each other, respect each other, and laugh together. Their personalities shined through every detail of their wedding day and I had so much fun capturing it all.

Austin and Nadia, thank you for setting the bar high for what true love IS. Thank you for throwing such a fun wedding that the attendees of the actual Royal Wedding were jealous of! Thank you for inspiring us all with your love, and thank you SO much for choosing me to capture your wedding. It was a true honor!

Alex & Avery || THE COLBERSONS

This is, by far, my favorite wedding film that I have every created. It took a long time to craft, but that's because I needed it to be absolutely the best it could possibly be. Alex and Avery are such an inspiring couple because of the way they love each other and the way they love others. I needed this film to accurately reflect that. I wanted to tell their wedding day story (and love story) in a way that truly captivates and inspires others with the depth of their love. They set an incredible example of what having a solid foundation in their relationship looks like, they set a wonderful example of resilience, and they set a strong example of what love is

Because of this, their wedding was the most epic wedding ever. They are SO abundantly loved by SO many people, and all of those people have been waiting for this day for a long, long time. They met in the 5th grade. Alex loved her the moment he saw her but it took a few years of growing individually and then reconnecting to get to ask her on a an official date, in high school. In Avery's words, after that first date - they spent every single day together from then on. Fast forward 10 years, and it is their wedding day.

All of their friends, parents, and siblings had such charming things to say about them - you'll have to watch the whole film to see what I mean! You can imagine with the amount of years that these two have already spent together, there were countless amounts of stories to be shared followed by endless laughter and tears.

It’s not surprising that “The Colby System” that their friends came up with, somehow relates to loving people, in each of the steps. Community, Open to letting their friends into their family, Loyalty, Be There, and Y… “Y” Gabe and all the rest of us look up to them so much.

As Gabe says in the film, they are that couple that we all truly look up to.

I am both humbled and grateful that I was able to capture this extraordinary day for you guys, Alex and Avery. I hope that you are able to completely re-live all of the incredible moments that enfolded on this day, that defined one of the greatest chapters in your book!

Marcus & Katelyn - Maui, HI

I treasure these opportunities to get to capture and tell the stories of such wonderful couples' wedding days, and what a treat it is to get to travel to beautiful destinations with them, too.

Kayt and Marcus' started off their marriage by literally WEATHERING THE STORM! Hurricane Lane didn't stop these two from still executing their dream wedding at the beautiful Andaz Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. It might have been delayed two days, but it still HAPPENED and it was so fun to see all of their wedding dreams still come to life!

One thing that I really enjoy about destination weddings, is that I am typically with the couple and their families a few days prior to the actual wedding day and I get the opportunity to get to know them all very well. Both Kayt and Marcus' parents, siblings, and friends were so incredibly kind to me and treated me as if I was a part of the family, too, rather than just the videographer. I appreciate these small gestures more than you know, and it actually helps me to capture video and/or photos on a whole deeper level.

They got married in front of 8-10 of their closest friends and family on a small lawn, surrounded my palm tress and sea breeze, overlooking the ocean's crashing of waves. It was so romantic. Then we walked across to another lawn, that was the most elegant, candlelit, beachfront setting I have ever seen, for the dinner, dancing, and drinks. As the night went on, I couldn't help but feel so joyful for these two. The love they share is so radiant, and so real. They danced the entire night away, and I just kept thinking all of the while that if they can embrace a hurricane and dance through a storm like this, imagine what they can conquer all through life together.

Kayt and Marcus, I can't thank you guys enough! It was such a joy to be a part of both of your celebrations both in Maui and then back home in Prineville. Thank you for so graciously including me (and George!) in everything, and making me feel like a part of your family. I am forever grateful for you two, your wedding(s), and the honor of putting your film together.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gores!
