HI, I’M RACHEL.

I am an extroverted introvert who appreciates quiet “me” time but also loves connecting with others. I was born in the Pacific Northwest but have been blessed to travel the world for photo and video for the last 15 years.

My enthusiasm for photography began in my senior year of high school in 2008 (Shout-out to my mom for the brand name, “RP Imagery,” used first as a title for a school project) and, while studying business management at Western Washington University, I continued pursuing photography part-time. Eventually, RP Imagery, LLC was formally established in 2010. A new passion for videography emerged in 2013 and has since grown to be a core part of my storytelling services.

Human connection has always been the most important aspect of my life. At the core of who I am, lives my connection and experiences with others. My family, my friends, my boyfriend, a stranger on an airplane, a waitress at a restaurant, a small child in Honduras, an elderly man in line at a craft store. I believe God puts certain people in our lives for a reason and I’m fascinated by (and grateful for) each connection I make, whatever level it may be on. Whether it’s the holding of a hand, a random smile, a kind word, a pat on the back, a belly laugh, something in common, a small favor, or a huge bear hug - we can find connection in so many ways.

At the root of connection is love.

Stories of love inspire me and I consider it a privilege to capture and share these stories with the world. I am as energized for every wedding today as I was when I started 15 years ago and I find everyone has a compelling and unique love story to share. It might have a romantic or playful feel, or it may be an enduring story of hope. The beauty of it is that no story is the same.

I also enjoy applying my craft to projects outside weddings and pushing past the limits of standard storytelling. There are millions of stories of human connection to be told. My vision is to bring as many of these stories to life as possible, through extraordinary and timeless imagery. My approach to achieve this includes getting to know you on a personal level, and combining motion, context, and light with my unique perspective of your story.

Whether it’s a wedding, event, movement, or product, I’m here to tell your story and share it with the world.

I am getting married myself this year in 2024!

Rachel’s Adventures

Like many women my age with a flexible schedule and a job that takes them all over the world, I’ve done my share of traveling - seeing new places, experiencing other cultures, meeting the most amazing people, and witnessing scenery that doesn’t even seem real. Some highlights include Lofoten Islands in Norway, Italy, Japan, Honduras, Hawaii and Mexico but some of my top favorite “adventure stories” lie in places even closer to home like Jackson Hole, Yosemite, and Joshua Tree. It’s not always about the destination than it is about the journey itself ;)

Instagram might show you otherwise, but it really is less about the destination and more about the journey that gets you there.

A HEART FOR SERVING

There is so much change needed in our world, both locally and internationally, and I’ve always been passionate about serving where I can. I’ve served with a variety of nonprofits both in the US and Mexico since I was 18 but most recently I’ve spent a lot of time in Honduras. I’ve been photographing and filming for over 4 years with Humanity and Hope United, and getting to know the people in the remote villages of Hunduras that we serve has certainly changed my life.
