Meagan & Curtis - Estacada, OR

RPImagery-2374.jpg

Meagan and Curtis got married on a November afternoon at the Wonsor Woods Estate, which is a gorgeous family owned home up in the hills of Estacada, OR. We got incredibly lucky with a lovely sunny day and although chilly, we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and got to do all of our photos outside!
Enjoy some of my favorites:

Jay & Kelley - Port Orchard, WA

RPimagery-0776.jpg

Something about being related to your bride and groom gives you a unique perspective in capturing their big day! Jay is my 2nd cousin but our families have grown up doing holidays and vacations together since we were little. It’s scary how fast time flies and it was so wild to be all grown up, capturing his WEDDING DAY!

Jay and Kelley’s wedding was purely about celebration. I love how Kelley mentioned in her vows that the two of them had wondered and talked about what this day would look like for over three years, and then in a blink of an eye, it was actually here! Surrounded by all of the people they love most, both Jay and Kelley were full of emotions and brought to tears throughout so many moments of the day. It was a special day shared with all of their friends and family, and the celebration truly began first thing in the morning and carried into late in the evening. Kelley was sick on her wedding day, but you wouldn’t even know! She didn’t let that hinder any of her big day at all.

Kelley, I’ve never seen Jay look at anyone the way he looks at you. I mean, let’s talk about your first look! I could tell Jay thought he was going to hold it together just fine, but NOPE! Lost it. Just like when you started walking down the aisle, and his lip quivered the entire time. So sweet.

Jay, I am beyond happy for you that you found your person! You two are simply perfect together and the way you love each other is truly inspiring. The respect, trust, gratitude, humbleness, and friendship between the two of you is something remarkable. I am so thankful to have gotten to capture it!

To put it simply, I love your love. Enjoy my perspective of your wedding day:

Kelley and Jay - Words cannot describe how thankful I am that you chose and trusted me to capture your day. Obviously I may be a little biased, but your wedding was so special to me!! What an honor it was to document each and every moment. I am excited to see all that life has to bring you guys in your adventure ahead. Thanks again, Love you guys!

Paul & Kirsten - Seattle, WA

RPimagery-9004.jpg

Paul and Kirsten decided to go outside of the realm of typical wedding traditions, and tie the knot on their terms, in their own unique way. I was excited to hear that they would elope in Pike’s Place, the original farmer’s market (established in 1907) and a popular tourist attraction of Seattle, WA. They rented out a gorgeous suite in the heart of Pike’s Place, with a deck overlooking the farmer’s market and waterfront. You could see the flowers, smell the fish, and hear the street music from their private deck. The suite was enormous and incredibly stunning! They invited their immediate families and two of their closest friends, to ensure a relaxed and intimate environment for their ceremony. I have to admit, felt very special to be in a room with an exclusive amount of people, witnessing Paul and Kirsten’s heartfelt vows to each other. They had a lovely table spread for their family to enjoy, British style - complete with tea, scones, and sandwiches. They celebrated, ate, drank, and toasted after the ceremony to a new exciting chapter of marriage, as the excitement for the later evening’s activities began to brew.

Paul and Kirsten invited 175+ of their friends and family to an elegant “Engagement Party” on the top floor of the Columbia Tower that night. What everyone thought was an engagement party would actually be their wedding reception! The Columbia Tower is one of the tallest executive buildings in Seattle so you can imagine how incredible the views were. Even in the evening, the whole city was lit up, including the space needle of course, and we were sitting on top of it all, with a panoramic view. The whole setting, including the guests, could not have been more elegant! Kirsten’s dad welcomed everyone in and then made the big announcement that Paul and Kirsten had actually eloped earlier that afternoon, and everyone hollered and cheered as the new husband and wife joined their party. The evening was a total hit! Fine food, fancy cocktails, a rockin’ band, lots of dancing, and the celebration went on all evening.

Paul and Kirsten, I can’t imagine a more perfect day for you guys. Thank you for including me in such an intimate elopement and spectacular celebration - your wedding day. This will forever stick out in my mind as one of my favorite wedding celebrations of all time! You guys nailed it. Congratulations!!

Marcus & Kayt - Bend, OR

RPImagery-1460.jpg

Besides being absolutely stunning, Marcus and Kayt are one of the kindest, funniest, and most REAL couples in this world. Safe to say. They share a love that is so genuine and passionate, it has been fun for me to get to capture them in so many of their different elements. First, they took me to Maui to film their intimate (and epic) wedding in August with just a few of their close friends and family.

SEE THEIR MAUI WEDDING FILM HERE

Then, I got to be a part of and capture their celebration with everyone back home, in Bend, OR, a month later. AND THIS WAS A PARTY. The drinks, the music, the photobooth, THE CHARCUTERIE PLATE, the wedding film viewing, the toasts. It was a celebration unlike any other. They have a wild bunch of friends and family that got down on the dance floor. Not only was this a fun group of people, but I was blown away at the kindness of all of their friends and family. One of my favorite moments of the evening was when Marcus and Kayt got to see their Maui wedding film that I created for them, for the very first time, in a moment that they wanted to share with all of their loved ones at their celebration. Watching not only 200 people view my film, but witnessing my couple see their film for the first time, was a special moment I’ll remember forever. Their tears and smiles melted my heart, and reminded me of the significant value of my job. I always feel completely humbled that God put me on this path for a career, but especially in this moment. Thanks Marcus and Kayt, for wanting to share that moment with all of those close to you - including me. It meant so much! Thank you to all of you friends and family of Marcus and Kayt for all of your kind words, as well. I felt showered with way too much love from all of you, and never have I ever felt so appreciated and valued by so many people at one time. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Another favorite moment was obviously the beautiful sunset we whisked away from the party for. I think what makes the two of them such a beautiful couple, aside from their hotness (obviously!), is how real they are with each other - whether it’s goofy, serious, passionate, or just fun- they hold nothing back and I LOVE this about them. I ask them to slow dance, and he whisks her up in the air, twirls her around, grabs her face and kisses her, no shame. He grabs her butt, she grabs his. Their flirty, funny, and just adorable. They truly make everyone want to have a love like theirs!

Marcus and Kayt, I don’t have enough words to thank you for including me in so many of your special moments. Thank you for making ME feel completely loved, appreciated, and valued - when I was simply there to capture YOUR LOVE STORY. I couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect for each of them, than each other, honestly. My point is - we met at a wedding, we hit it off to the point where I got to capture YOUR wedding day(s), and where I thought I was (and honored to be) your wedding photographer and videographer, I come out of this experience with such a full heart feeling like a dear friend to you, more than anything. Thank you for trusting me at both of your weddings, thank you for making me feel like family, and thank you especially for truly inspiring us all with your goofy, passionate, firey, and REAL love.

I photographed their Bend recepetion (no video), but couldn’t help but just grab a couple second clips in this particular moment - a sunset slow dance. You just became husband and wife in Maui during a hurricane, so why not?! It was too sweet of a moment to capture only in photos!

Michael & Daveen - Washougal, WA

Michael and Daveen’s wedding was nothing short of magical! Daveen is a master detail planner, and had her complete wedding day envisioned as soon as she met Michael. Granted, many of those details changed over the years, but every detail of their day was absolutely radiant all the same. Daveen’s vision truly came to life in every ounce of the day - florals, table settings, ceremony arch, dessert table, jewelry, attire, etc.

However, no amount of beautiful detail can beat the authentic, magical love between these two. The respect, adoration, and love for each other is something special. Michael and Daveen, I love your love! Thank you for choosing me to capture such a monumental day in a new chapter of your love story. Thank you for inspiring us all with the passion, romance, and deep love that you two share. I am honored to call you guys’ friends and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. xox

Paul & Sarah

Paul and Sarah met via phone call at the age of 14. Sarah, living in the Pacific Northwest, had an elementary school girlfriend that moved away to Columbus, Ohio, whom she kept in touch with throughout the years. One day, Sarah’s girlfriend had her friend, Paul, over. Cue cupid as Sarah heard a mysteriously handsome voice of a stranger on the phone and instantly fell in love. These two teenagers, complete strangers, chatted on the phone a few times and then met for the very first time when Sarah traveled to visit her girlfriend in Ohio and went to a church camp that Paul also somehow showed up at. As Sarah’s mom says, “it was young love, but it was meant to be.”

Life took them different directions, and both entered into other long term relationships throughout high school and college. God had a different plan though, as he brought them back together years later by rekindling their relationship over a flirty social media interaction.

These two certainly have a special and unique love story. It is evident that they were designed specifically for each other because of how perfectly they balance each other, encourage each other, and simply love each other. Their love inspires me. Their dedication to building and maintaining their relationship from so may miles apart, motivates me in my own long distance relationship. Distance is HARD, and these two have fully conquered it with a lot of persistence, and a whole lot of love.

Their love story is something out of a fairytale, so it was fitting that their wedding was no different. Sarah has an eye for beautiful design, and everything she envisioned truly came to life on their wedding day. Surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Mt. Hood, they exchanged the sweetest vows to each other in front of all of their dearest friends and family, toasted to a future of loving each other forever, and danced the night away under the stars.

Sarah and Paul, thank you so much for choosing me to capture all of the special moments throughout your day. I felt truly inspired all day, and I know I wasn’t the only one, because your guys’ love story touches us all. With such a solid foundation you’ve built, I know your marriage will be the highest priority of your hearts, and with that, you can guys can conquer anything together. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Farler!

Justin & Courtney - Woodland, WA

RPImagery-0195.jpg

Justin and Courtney are a laid-back, loving, friendly, and outgoing couple. They are passionate about their pups, they are adored by their friends, they love to have a good time, and they ‘ain’t afraid of a little booty grab ;) Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of them, as their day started off with a relaxing morning for the girls getting ready at the barn, and the fellas showing up with Justin and Courtney’s pups mid afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day!

We started off with Courtney’s first look with her dad. It was truly something special, the look on his face was priceless when he saw his daughter on her wedding day, and the tears did not stop flowing. Shortly after that, Courtney and Justin got to see each other for the first time and then we wandered around the lovely property of the Peterson’s Red Barn with their whole bridal party. They certainly had a fun group of friends!

One of my favorite parts of their day was cocktail hour. Everyone enjoyed sipping cocktails from their adorable bar, Blue Stag Mobile bar, while playing lawn games and enjoying each other’s company. They had a great playlist going in the background, and it was just a lovely setting.

My absolute favorite part of the day though was golden hour, and not just because the light was pretty. Golden hour on Justin and Courtney’s wedding day of course included some epic portraits with just the two of them frolicking out in the open field as husband and wife! But, then we also came back to their whole party being back outside, having left the dance floor, to play drinking games at sunset. Justin and Courtney delightfully joined in. We ended golden hour with some girl squad pics. Love me a good group of girlfriends that will kick their shoes off and run around an open field, swaying their dresses, hugging each other, and enjoying the beauty of true friendship.

Court and Justin, your wedding was TOO fun! I enjoyed being a part of and soaking up every bit of it, just as much as I enjoyed capturing every moment of it. Thank you for including me on your wedding day, I feel blessed to know you guys and consider you friends as well!
Your unique love is so fun for me to capture and I hope to get to do so for many years to come. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Kempf!

Alex & Avery || THE COLBERSONS

This is, by far, my favorite wedding film that I have every created. It took a long time to craft, but that's because I needed it to be absolutely the best it could possibly be. Alex and Avery are such an inspiring couple because of the way they love each other and the way they love others. I needed this film to accurately reflect that. I wanted to tell their wedding day story (and love story) in a way that truly captivates and inspires others with the depth of their love. They set an incredible example of what having a solid foundation in their relationship looks like, they set a wonderful example of resilience, and they set a strong example of what love is

Because of this, their wedding was the most epic wedding ever. They are SO abundantly loved by SO many people, and all of those people have been waiting for this day for a long, long time. They met in the 5th grade. Alex loved her the moment he saw her but it took a few years of growing individually and then reconnecting to get to ask her on a an official date, in high school. In Avery's words, after that first date - they spent every single day together from then on. Fast forward 10 years, and it is their wedding day.

All of their friends, parents, and siblings had such charming things to say about them - you'll have to watch the whole film to see what I mean! You can imagine with the amount of years that these two have already spent together, there were countless amounts of stories to be shared followed by endless laughter and tears.

It’s not surprising that “The Colby System” that their friends came up with, somehow relates to loving people, in each of the steps. Community, Open to letting their friends into their family, Loyalty, Be There, and Y… “Y” Gabe and all the rest of us look up to them so much.

As Gabe says in the film, they are that couple that we all truly look up to.

I am both humbled and grateful that I was able to capture this extraordinary day for you guys, Alex and Avery. I hope that you are able to completely re-live all of the incredible moments that enfolded on this day, that defined one of the greatest chapters in your book!

Nick & Kristen - Seattle, WA

RPImagery-4297.jpg

If anyone can make it through all 4 years at WSU together, they can make it through anything! That’s always what I thought, at least, knowing the rowdy reputation of that college. However, knowing Kristen and Nick - you can see how effortless their love is. They simply love everything about each other, and you can see it in the way they look at each other. I admire the amount of respect they have for each other, which is evident when they talk of one another. Their love is clearly one that SO many people are inspired by, too. Their friend group (bridal party), was one of a kind, they all made me feel like another friend in the friend group. So basically, these two made it out of WSU with not only their soulmate, but the most epic support group of friends, too!

They are so loved.

Their wedding was definitely one to remember! My favorite moments included watching Kristen get ready with her girlfriends, the wonderful ceremony done by one of my best friend’s dads, the llamas at cocktail hour, and their first dance to Edwin Mccain, “I’ll Be.”

Kristen and Nick surprised their entire group of guests by bringing out llamas during cocktail hour. Nobody had any idea, not even their parents or bridal party! The amount of shock and smile that lit up everyone’s faces was priceless. Who knew people loved llamas so much?!

The first dance was definitely the most memorable one I’ve ever seen. As they started swaying to the beautiful, “I’ll Be” (a song that I’ve been waiting 10 years for someone to have their first dance to!), everybody in the room formed a circle around them and started singing the song and swaying to the music with them. It was a moment I am sure that Kristen and Nick will remember forever. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd, including me!

Kristen and Nick, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing and trusting me to capture this day for you guys. You had the best bridal party in wedding history, and it was only a reflection of how truly kind the both of you are as individuals. I love you two together, and can’t wait to see what this new chapter of marriage brings to your lives!

Marcus & Katelyn - Maui, HI

I treasure these opportunities to get to capture and tell the stories of such wonderful couples' wedding days, and what a treat it is to get to travel to beautiful destinations with them, too.

Kayt and Marcus' started off their marriage by literally WEATHERING THE STORM! Hurricane Lane didn't stop these two from still executing their dream wedding at the beautiful Andaz Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. It might have been delayed two days, but it still HAPPENED and it was so fun to see all of their wedding dreams still come to life!

One thing that I really enjoy about destination weddings, is that I am typically with the couple and their families a few days prior to the actual wedding day and I get the opportunity to get to know them all very well. Both Kayt and Marcus' parents, siblings, and friends were so incredibly kind to me and treated me as if I was a part of the family, too, rather than just the videographer. I appreciate these small gestures more than you know, and it actually helps me to capture video and/or photos on a whole deeper level.

They got married in front of 8-10 of their closest friends and family on a small lawn, surrounded my palm tress and sea breeze, overlooking the ocean's crashing of waves. It was so romantic. Then we walked across to another lawn, that was the most elegant, candlelit, beachfront setting I have ever seen, for the dinner, dancing, and drinks. As the night went on, I couldn't help but feel so joyful for these two. The love they share is so radiant, and so real. They danced the entire night away, and I just kept thinking all of the while that if they can embrace a hurricane and dance through a storm like this, imagine what they can conquer all through life together.

Kayt and Marcus, I can't thank you guys enough! It was such a joy to be a part of both of your celebrations both in Maui and then back home in Prineville. Thank you for so graciously including me (and George!) in everything, and making me feel like a part of your family. I am forever grateful for you two, your wedding(s), and the honor of putting your film together.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gores!

Andrew & Hayley

I have been waiting for a wedding that I could re-tell the story of, through video, in a way that completely glorifies God.  I had a feeling before going into this wedding day that it might be Andrew and Hayley's wedding. Originally, this is because I knew how much each of them truly pursue Jesus and strive to put God first in their relationship with each other. Then, it became very evident that their wedding was definitely going to be one for what I had in mind, during their ceremony. I loved how their officiant, Chris Nye, described marriage and the importance of humility. He gave the example for Hayley to walk with humility by honoring, respecting, and trusting Andrew, and letting him use his patience and wisdom to be the leader. And for Andrew, to die to his own needs, wants, and desires in order to put Hayley first. We are only able to walk in humility if we worship God, whom is the creator of and whom allows us to have humility. He goes on to say in all relationships, in all ways, choose kindness. Choose humility. “There is a bottomless well for all married people to draw from, and that resource is the gospel.” -Chris Nye

Hayley and Andrew, thank you for being a shining example of what it looks like to be so devoted to loving each other in the same way that God loves you. Your wedding and your love story are both wonderful testaments to the blessings that God gives when one seeks Him first. There were so many beautiful things said during the ceremony by Chris, in your vows and letters to each other, as well in the toasts, but I chose to create the film in a particular way that I hope not only glorifies God, but might inspire others to stay humble, live in humility, love God, and choose kindness.

Max & Kelsey

Max and Kelsey got married early this summer at one of my favorite Oregon wedding venues, The Reserve Golf Course and Vineyard. The staff, the atmosphere, the food, everything is beyond amazing!

They got married out by the pond, and were able to exchange rings, say their "I do's" and seal it with a kiss just before the clouds started rolling in and it rained. Rain is good luck though, right?! The rest of their day was an absolute party! Everyone was toasting, celebrating, and dancing through the entire evening. Their live band, Dancehall Days (I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding!!), did a phenomenal job keeping everyone on the dance floor and the dance moves were truly a riot. Such a fun party!

The clouds miraculously parted at the perfect time for me to steal Kelsey and Max away from the party for just a few moments to dance under the sunset as newlyweds. It was quite romantic.

RPImagery-6448.jpg

Kelsey and Max, thank you so much for choosing me to capture this day. It truly meant a lot to me! I am so excited to share these images with you, and even more excited to share the film (coming soon)!

If you're planning a destination wedding, I assume that you are already the type of person whom knows how to have a good time. So why limit the fun to only one day?! Chauncy and Dan planned it perfectly. After their rehearsal in the morning, they planned a beach party for all of their guests to come and attend the day before their actual wedding, and it was a hit! They had yummy food and drinks, beach games, and a wonderful relaxing, ocean-front deck for everyone to enjoy.

I was their wedding videographer for the actual wedding (Rich Lander was the photographer, who is amazing!), but obviously couldn't help but snap some fun pictures to capture their rehearsal/ beach party day since they were so kind to invite and include me in all of the festivities! Can everyone have destination weddings so the fun continues all weekend like this? :)

PS: If anyone needs a wedding coordinator in the Laguna area, Jenna is your girl! She is on top of the planning and executes everything so perfectly. Plus, she's super fun!

Joey & Whitney - Portland, OR

RPImagery-8201.jpg

I've been friends with Whit and Joe for over 5 years. I have witnessed many of their ups and downs, documented their love (by making them model for me on several accounts), celebrated many birthdays with them, and have watched their flirty crushes develop into a deep, beautiful love over the years.

What I love about Joey and Whitney is that they are a couple that truly brings out the best in one another, and in turn, brings so much joy to everyone else around them. Joey comes off a bit timid when you first meet him, but once you get to know him, he is funny as hell, down-to-earth, "life of the party" type of guy. Whitney is constantly outgoing, energetic, and friendly to those around her. She has the biggest heart, is encouraging and uplifting to others, and gives, gives, gives. She is a true light to those around her, and it is evident that Joey recognizes this. The way he looks at her like she is the only person in the entire room completely melts my heart. Together, they have a contagious type of charisma that people crave to be around.

Every moment of their wedding day was pure bliss. Whitney's bridesmaids were all rockstars who constantly made sure everything was flawless throughout the day. The Benson was the perfect venue and the staff were incredible - working hard to create the most magical setting. Their family had the most sentimental words for the newlyweds, and everyone toasted to their happiness, and danced the night away.

And....
THEY ARE EXPECTING!!! Whit and Joe found out shortly before their wedding day that they are expecting, and I couldn't be more thrilled for them! They are going to be such wonderful parents. During their reception, Whitney made the announcement to all of their friends and family that they have a baby on the way, and then surprised Joey by sharing that their cake cutting would actually be a gender reveal. The crowd went wild as they sliced into their wedding cake, revealing a bright, pretty, pink filling. There's not many things that could beat the excitement of that moment, but some of my other favorite moments of the day included: Whitney getting ready for her wedding day in the complete tranquility of their new, beautiful home that they just purchased as a couple. Whitney's bridesmaids enthusiastically watching their first look from the hotel window across the street. Joey seeing his bride for the first time on their wedding day. The venue coordinator giving Joey and Whitney a private moment to glimpse into their wedding reception room and Joey leading Whitney into a romantic slow dance. They were the only two in the room and the DJ turned on sounds of Billie Holiday in the background. I loved having Joey and Whitney to myself later on, shortly after they signed their marriage license, frolicking around the lit up night scene of downtown Portland. My last favorite moment of the day was watching Whitney, 10 weeks pregnant, round up the troops and lead everyone on the dance floor to "Wobble baby." Haha I love her!

Their wedding day was a true reflection of them as a couple, and every moment, start to finish, was truly so special! I admire their love, blessed to call them friends, and I am honored to have been a part of their wedding day. Whit and Joe- I can't thank you guys enough for choosing me to document this new chapter of your life, for including me in a huge part of your love story, and for your true friendship over the years. I adore the two of you together and am so excited to see all of the adventures and joy that God has in store for you, as a couple, and as a family!! Love you guys!

Mike & Taylor

RPImagery-2276b.jpg

I met Mike in 2008, freshman year of college. With his gentleman demeanor, quirky humor, and contagious smile, it was hard not to become immediate friends with him. We had a very large group of friends that remained throughout all 4 years of college, but Mike was the one guy that everyone always wanted to be around. I got to witness many of his crushes and flings, and I always wondered what lucky girl he would end up with. She's have to be incredibly special!

Taylor... is PERFECT for Mike. They compliment each other in so many ways, and are so good together. They are both quirky, loving, friendly, and fun! Once meeting Taylor, I truly couldn't imagine a more perfect girl for Mike. Their love story is sweet in the way that Mike was in heavy but nonchalant pursuit of Taylor once he laid eyes on her, and once their mutual friend, Chelsea, slowly started lining up ways for Mike and Taylor to casually be together in the same room/car, Taylor quickly and unexpectedly fell for Mike as well.

Their wedding day was not only beautiful, but so fun! Every one of their friends and family members are so genuine, loving, and so supportive of Mike and Taylor, and they all know how to have a good time. The Union Station in Tacoma fell nothing short of a stunning venue for them to say "I do." Although, this may have been the only wedding I have ever had random street walkers threaten the groomsmen and try to fight!!!! An interested memory of the day, to say the least ;) Good 'ole Tacoma, Washington.

A couple of my favorite moments of the day were how relaxed the entire morning of getting ready was (best bridesmaid tribe ever - they were on top of everything!), Mike and Taylor's first look, how composed and awesome the whole bridal  party was when we had those unexpected intruders, Taylor's dad seeing her for the first time, Mike and Taylor immediately updating their facebook status maybe 30 seconds after leaving their ceremony (ha! I love them!), their first dance in the middle of the room with everyone surrounding them, and just the entire reception being a complete blast! I didn't want to leave, myself!

Mike and Taylor, it truly means the world to me that you chose me to capture your wedding day. I was completely honored to not only be there, but to also have gotten to create lasting memories for you guys to always remember this day with! I know this next chapter of your lives together will be the best adventure yet. I love you both!

Chris & Courtney

RPImagery-6938.jpg

Chris and Courtney got married in the beautiful lands of Napa Valley, CA on a not-so-sunny, but still lovely Fall day. They said their vows in the cutest little Catholic Chapel, Holy Family Mission, and celebrated the night away afterwards at Vintner’s Golf Club with their friends and family.

There were so many special details and people included in their day. Courtney wore the same wedding dress that both her mother and grandmother wore for their weddings. Courtney's dad passed away a few years ago, and Courtney's mother gave her meaningful gifts, including her dad's handkerchief. Her two grandmothers were SO excited about the special hanger they made for Courtney, with special lace. Courtney's own brother did her makeup, which was so awesome and fun to watch all morning! They also did something a little un-traditional with their wedding day, and did not have a bridal party. I love how much that made their day even more just about them, though. It was fitting.

Despite the rain, unexpected crazy traffic, and a few other hiccups, it was still the most perfect day for these two! Their family and friends sure know how to party. The celebration through the night was definitely my favorite part of their whole wedding day! These people know how to get down and have good time.

Chris and Courtney, thank you so much for choosing me to capture one of the best days of your lives. It was truly an honor to capture so many dear moments for you guys and your family. Much love!

Scott & Kyla - Chelan, WA

RPImagery-1187.jpg

It's not often you get to be good friends with the competition. However, in this particular industry, it's not totally out of the ordinary. Thankfully I have a very dear photographer friend in Eastern, Washington who is always down to bounce ideas off of each other, compare techniques, ask questions, and in this case - share weddings.
She is with child and due very soon, so she asked if I could take over one of her weddings for her in beautiful Chelan, WA. I am SO thankful for this opportunity, because Scott and Kyla turned out to be some of the most awesome people ever and I now consider them friends.

Scott and Kyla are from Tacoma, WA but opted for a "semi-destination" Chelan wedding for their friends and family to get to on vacation for and get away. They got married at Karma Vineyards, overlooking the valley during the ceremony, and tucked inside a romantic "wine cave" for the reception. It was so lovely!

It was a special family affair, their 2 sons were a huge part of the day, both walking down the aisle with them in the bridal party and even giving toasts! I especially loved how their dinner was a classy rendition of family-style, with the long beautiful dining tables and fine, delicious food being passed around the table. The food, the wine, the toasting, the dessert table, the dancing - I would say the reception was one of my personal favorite parts of the day. It was truly a celebration of love.

Although a close second favorite part of the day was definitely the parting of the skies and the rainbow that appeared as Kyla walked down the aisle towards her new husband. It had been sprinkling throughout the day, but everyone was hopeful it would stop by ceremony time. God even blessed us with a rainbow during the 15 minutes of the day that Scott and Kyla said their actual vows! Right as the guests made their way down to the wine cave, it started raining again, and the rest of the evening was spent all together in the wine cave anyways!

Scott and Kyla, although my friend Hillary would have done such a beautiful job capturing your wedding photos too, I am so, SO thankful that I got to meet you guys and capture this day for you. It was an honor, and I completely adore you two and your boys! Congratulations!

Mike & Sharon

I've known Mike and Sharon for about 5 years now and they are truly two of my favorite people, very dear friends... and are two people destined to be together.
I have gotten to know them, their kids, and their friends and family very well over the last couple of years, and I feel so fortunate to have them in my life, so you can imagine my excitement to get to capture this day (long-in-the-making) for them!

The blending of two families can be a very beautiful thing, but what do you call it then when the two families have already been beautifully blended? I think this is what made the day so incredibly special. To get to see how loved Mike is by Sharon's kids, Mick and Melissa. To see how cherished Sharon is by Mike's son Trav, and his wife Tonicha. To witness the love Sharon's mother-in-law has for Mike. Both having gone through so much life and many hardships individually, it is pretty wonderful to see God finally bring these two together. And the support and love that they have surrounding them, amongst both their friends and family, is so evident in their lives, and it was so perfectly reflected throughout this entire day.

They couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue to embark on this new chapter of their lives together at! The Rogue River Lodge in Trail, OR is a hidden gem. Located right on the Rogue River, it is so peaceful and beautiful, you can't help but feel the Lord's presence there.

Reflecting back on this day, there were so many special moments. Everyone important to them poured so much love into preparing for this day... the florals, decor, hair and makeup, BBQing and camping the whole weekend, etc, etc. It was truly a labor of love.

Some fun pics from rehearsal day:

Some of my favorite moments from their wedding day include: Their first look (so intimate and sweet!), Sharon's mom walking down the aisle waving to everyone with tears in her eyes during the ceremony, the ceremony itself (it was perfectly them), Mike and Sharon dancing with all of their kids (it was a beautiful family moment!), Mike and Sharon personally handing out champagne to all of their guests before toasts, Sharon's parents sharing a very special anniversary dance, the boats going down the river hooting and hollering celebrating with us throughout the day, and so much more.

Mike and Sharon, I hope you guys know how much you mean to me and how truly special it was for me to capture this day for you. I admire you both as individuals, and adore the love you two share. It is raw, it is tender, enduring, special, and so beautiful.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Farrell, I love you guys!

Nick & Christina

Can everyone just get married at Tsillan Cellars and have epic dance parties like this?!

Christina and Nick's STUNNING Chelan, WA wedding was one of my favorites to date. The details were flawless, dainty but not over-done, the venue was magical, the planning was perfect, and this couple is the definition of couple goals. The way they love is so genuine, and intentional. And can we talk about how gorgeous they are? Please have so many beautiful children you two....

I love how they made a weekend getaway out of their wedding, and got to enjoy time on their lake front property rentals with their family and closest friends all weekend long. It made for a relaxed, laid-back, and incredibly enjoyable setting. What a wonderful way to get married!

Nick and Christina, I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to capture this day for you. It was truly the best day ever, thank you for making me feel so included and truly like a friend, not just the videographer ;) I loved every minute of your day and was completely honored to get to document it all for you. Congratulations, I just love you two!

And because I can never contain myself from snapping a few photos, even while filming a wedding day, here are just a couple stills from their day:

Corey & Melissa

RPImagery-1440.jpg

Corey and Melissa got married at the beautiful Holy Names and then celebrated at the Seattle Tennis Club on a gorgeous late August day. I have done several of Melissa's friends' weddings so at this point I feel like a friend of hers, myself, and was SO excited to capture everything for her!

All of the little details of the day were SO Melissa, and so lovely. Corey and his groomsmen were probably the funniest group of guys I've ever met, my tummy was literally hurting from laughing uncontrollably all day. Melissa gave sweet, personalized gifts to her bridesmaids that had them all in tears. We did an intimate first look out on the dock in the afternoon, and Corey's reaction was so cute. Their entire bridal party was so awesome and made photos so much fun, too! (... And I do not say that about every bridal party, haha)

They had their ceremony in a stunning church, Holy Names, followed by an exquisite cocktail hour out on the Seattle Tennis Club lawn, overlooking the water and the mountain. One of my favorite parts of the evening was when Corey's brother gave a heartfelt toast and even had Corey, the jokester who never shows any emotion, in some tears. "Eat, drink, and be merry" was exactly how I would describe the rest of their evening... delicious dinner with donuts for dessert, delightful drinks, so much dancing, laughter, tears, with a little bit of PBC-fight-watching mid reception.

Melissa and Corey, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your beautiful wedding day. It means a lot to me that you guys continue to recommend me to all of your friends, so it was even MORE of an honor to finally get to capture this day for YOU! Love you guys.
